For optimal use and to prevent the wax from melting irregularly: let the candle burn until the wick has melted and settled at the edges. Use the lid to extinguish the candle. Let the candle solidify before relighting. Trim the wick before using the candle: it should be a maximum of 6 mm. Protect the surface on which the candle stands. Let it burn for a maximum of 4 hours at a time. Do not leave the candle unattended or within reach of children or pets.
