Place the refill in the packaging before attaching it to the fan. The Car Diffuser uses the natural airflow in the car to spread the fragrance, but if you want a more intense scent, you can use it with the air conditioning. If you do not plan to use the car for a while, you should put the refill back in the packaging to keep the scent fresh. Each fragrance refill lasts for about 3 months once opened and up to 18 months in the unopened packaging.
