Apply sunscreen liberally before sun exposure. The stated sun protection factor will be reduced if too little sunscreen is used. Avoid intense midday sun. Reapply to maintain protection, e.g. when sweating, after bathing and drying off. Protect babies and young children from direct sunlight by using protective clothing and sunscreen with SPF 25 or higher. Do not stay in the sun for too long, even if you use sunscreen.
